There’s something sacred about June.
We are standing at the threshold—halfway through the year—where what we began in hope now asks for devotion. Where the dreams we whispered in January either deepen… or dissolve.
And this morning, as I lay the cards out in my quiet, light-filled apartment overlooking the jungle here in Panama, I feel something shift.
Not urgency.
Not pressure. But a soft, powerful knowing:
This is the month where we become the light we’ve been waiting for.

At first glance, they feel simple. Gentle, even. But sit with them for a moment… and you realize they are asking something profound of us.
“Be the light that shines for others. Share your love generously.”
This card lands like a quiet instruction for the soul.
Not: wait until you feel better.
Not: fix everything first.
But simply:
Be the light anyway.
I’ve been thinking about this a lot as I prepare to create my new studio space. It’s not perfect yet. There are still decisions, logistics, costs. The canvases for my new series—Where Water Holds the Light—feel both exhilarating and overwhelming.
Seven large-scale paintings.
Seven portals of light.
And yet… I find myself sharing the vision anyway. Speaking it. Letting others feel it.
Because something extraordinary happens when we uplift each other:
The vision becomes stronger than the fear.
June asks us to stop withholding our light until everything is ready.
It never will be.
“Allow art to take you to places you’ve never been.”
This is the card of awakening. Of seeing through the stories we’ve told ourselves:
Illusions are rarely dramatic. They are quiet. Familiar. Convincing.
But here’s what I’m noticing in my own life:
As I begin planning this major collaboration—the scale of it, the beauty of it—
I can feel the old narratives trying to surface.
And I can also feel something else rising stronger:
Truth.
Art has this way of dissolving illusion.
It carries you beyond your limitations into something far more expansive.
June is a month where illusion dissolves not through force…
…but through creation.
“Strength flows when streams come together and make one river.”
This card feels like the heartbeat of everything I’m stepping into right now.
Because this new body of work—Where Water Holds the Light—is not meant to be created in isolation.
It’s a collaboration.
A merging of vision.
A coming together of energy, ideas, and intention.
And I’m realizing something:
The next level of our lives doesn’t come from doing more alone.
It comes from aligning with the right people.
June is asking:
Where are you trying to carry everything by yourself?
Where could you allow connection to amplify you?
There is power in unity this month.
Not dependency—but alignment.
Like rivers finding each other and becoming something unstoppable.
“When in darkness, don’t fight. You can’t win. Simply find the nearest switch…”
This card stopped me. Because how often do we fight our circumstances? Push against them. Resist them. Analyze them?
But what if the answer is simpler?
What if June is not asking you to battle anything…
…but simply to choose light?
I feel this deeply as I move through moments of uncertainty—financial decisions, creative risk, stepping into something bigger than I’ve done before.
Instead of spiraling…
I return to light.
A walk.
A swim.
A moment of stillness, sipping Panamanian coffee
And suddenly, everything shifts.
Not because the problem disappeared…
…but because I remembered who I am. Talented, resourceful, spiritual.
“Embrace optimism to manifest the beautiful results you desire.”
This card feels like a promise. A quiet, unwavering promise. The vision you carry—the thing that lights you up, that feels almost too beautiful to be real—
It’s not accidental.
It’s guidance.
As I envision these seven paintings—vast, luminous, infused with water, light, and energy—I can already feel their presence.
As if they exist… waiting for me to bring them through.
And I want to say this to you, gently but clearly:
June invites us to trust beauty as a compass.
“When we show up for what we love… we can make magic from sht.”*
This is the card I smile at. Because it’s so defiant.
So much fun.
And if I’m truthful, this year, and those before it, haven’t been without their challenges.
There have been frustrations. Uncertainties. Emotional weight.
And yet…
Here I am. In Panama.
Creating. Dreaming. Expanding.
Taking everything—the good, the messy, the unexpected— and turning it into art.
This is alchemy.
June is not asking for perfection.
It’s asking for transformation.
Right now, I am preparing something that feels both thrilling and deeply sacred:
A new studio space.
A major collaboration.
A series of seven large-scale works titled:
Where Water Holds the Light.
There is something about water here in Panama—the way it reflects, holds, and transforms light—that feels like a metaphor for everything I’m living.
We don’t create light.
We hold it.
We reflect it.
We allow it to move through us.
And that is what June feels like.
Not striving.
Not forcing.
But becoming a vessel.
If you take one thing from this reading, let it be this:
You don’t need to have it all figured out.
You just need to begin.
