Can visual art offer solace, hope and reassurance?

Art has been used for thousands of years as a means of expression and communication. But did you know that art can also have a profound impact on our mental, physical, spiritual and emotional health and wellbeing? Let’s look at a few of the ways visual art can offer solace, hope and reassurance.

🎶🌸 Embracing the Healing Power of Music, Art, and Beauty 🎨✨

Life is an ever-evolving journey, full of twists and turns, and sometimes, we encounter moments of seriousness that can disrupt our peace. But fear not, dear friends, for I have discovered a magical secret to help you navigate through these challenges and regain your equilibrium. 🌟✨

In the depths of my soul, I have found solace in the enchanting realms of music, art, and beauty. They have become my trusted companions, guiding me through the storms and lifting my spirit when it feels heavy. 🎶💫

Music, oh sweet music, holds the power to transport us to ethereal dimensions, where our worries dissipate like mist in the morning sun. Let melodies caress your heart and allow lyrics to weave tales of hope, resilience, and love. Feel the rhythm, let it move you, and dance away your troubles. 🎵💃🏻

Art, in all its magnificent forms, invites us to explore the depths of our imagination and connect with our innermost selves. Allow brush strokes, colors, and shapes to awaken your senses and unleash your creativity. Whether you paint, draw, sculpt, or simply admire the works of others, let art be your muse, releasing the shackles of seriousness that burden your soul. 🎨🌺

And then there’s beauty, my dear companions. Seek it in every corner of your world, for it has the power to transform the ordinary into the extraordinary. Embrace the beauty of nature, immerse yourself in vibrant sunsets, fragrant blooms, and the soothing embrace of a gentle breeze. Seek beauty in the faces of loved ones, the sparkle in their eyes, and the warmth of their smiles. Let beauty be your guiding light, illuminating the path towards joy and tranquility. ✨🌷

Remember, my joys, when seriousness creeps into your life, do not despair. Instead, reach out to the harmonies of music, the wonders of art, and the splendor of beauty. Let them be your sanctuary, your safe haven, and your catalyst for transformation. 🌈💫

In the embrace of music, art, and beauty, we find the strength to move through any storm, to dance with grace in the face of adversity, and to create our own masterpiece of a life. So, my friends, let us embark on this journey together, hand in hand, celebrating the power of these divine gifts that nurture our souls and help us rise above any seriousness that may come our way. 🌟💖

I am thrilled to have been approached to donate one of my special artworks to support fundraising efforts for the Breast Cancer Foundation NZ. “Smell The Roses” is one of my most special pieces and will be auctioned at the event.

If you are in the Bay of Islands during that time or thinking of planning a special trip I hope you will support this significant cause.

Kym and her team, who are arranging this “Truly Scrumptious High Tea” event are also purchasing one of my The Art of Life Inspiration decks to go in the raffle. I know of several people who have purchased these cards to help inspire people who are suffering significant health crisis and want to gift something that will uplift and encourage and support their healing.

On a personal note, my mum who died of cancer in 2022, encouraged me to create these cards and gifted me for my birthday a course with a lady based in The States who helped me turn my dream into a reality.

I am waiting on a new shipment which is due next week. If you could like a pack please DM or order online here:

The grand problem, the most important problem, is to rejuvenate women. To make women look young. Then their outlook changes. They feel more joyous”

~ Coco Chanel

Coco was a trailblazer in women’s fashion. When she arrived in trousers in Venice people were shocked, but shock quickly turned to awe.

Women wanted what she had—and Coco was only too happy to sell it to them. Her joyous colour was black. She loved its simplicity and understated elegance. Perhaps it reminded her of the habits the nuns, who so tenderly cared for her, wore.

Whatever the catalyst was, Coco had the vision to turn black, the colour of mourning, into the symbol of independence, freedom, and strength. She also created the now iconic little black dress!

Your joyous colour may be yellow, blue, or gold. Or it may be multi-patterned and have all the colours of the rainbow. Floating dresses in the finest silk may instill you with confidence, or perhaps you prefer something more tailored. Whatever you colour, whatever you wear be sure that it makes you feel joyful.

Your Challenge

Act as if. Take a job or lifestyle idea you are considering, or have always wondered what it would be like, and act as if you are living that role. Dress the part.
