FIELDS OF COLOUR: FOUR-PART VIRTUAL ABSTRACT PAINTING WORKSHOP

This is fun! I was approached yesterday by a photographer who had seen my Easter in-person art retreat Create Amazing Abstracts classes being advertised.

“I have funding for a book about pavlovas, and we are looking for artwork to accompany the text,” she told me.

This enterprising photographer went on to ask whether participants in my art class might like to create paintings inspired by our iconic Kiwi desert.

“I will photograph them professionally for free, and people will receive a copy and the best images may be included in my book.”

The idea sounds yummy. So yummy that today, Good Friday, I’m going to have a play with some ideas of my own before the first class starts on Sunday.

What: Fields of Colour: Four-Part Virtual Abstract Painting Workshop

When: Every Saturday in May from 10 am to 1 pm NZT (New Zealand time)

Where: Online, in the comfort of your own studio or home.

We’ll meet via Zoom for several hours during each of the 4 sessions during the month of May. I’ll be interacting with all attendees and with each participant individually.
