Serenity and Misty Days

Hello my joys,

Happy spring or autumn, where ever you are in the world. I hope you’re enjoying the change in season. I want to share with you some recent work, misty days inspiration, some thoughts on perseverance and why living with passion and purpose can change everything.

Perfect Harmony

This piece weaves multiple strands of hope and harmony and contains a spiritual soothing lightness. The inspiration, as is so often in my art, is nature. It’s spring here, and we are having the wettest time. It seems like the whole world is getting lots of rain. This wonderful white mist settles over the sea and islands—all most like a bridal veil.

It was such a shock to lose my mum this year. 2 days after I returned home to the Bay of Islands, after two weeks caring for her. Thankfully I can escape into creativity. I am loving the strength and beauty of black at the moment…black was my mum’s favourite colour.

What I’m reading

I never get tired of re-reading this classic book. Psychiatrist Viktor Frankl’s memoir is riveted and offers comfort during these crazy times. I share a little more about Viktor’s experience and why following your passion, not your pension is the ultimate success strategy on my blog.
