What’s on your list of things to be proud of?

Success isn’t always about how much money you make—although that can be great! Other things to consider include:

Who you are.
Your best traits.
Your laughter and the way it lights up the world.
The way you carry yourself with elegance and confidence.
How much you care about those you love and the people in the world.
The challenges you’ve overcome.
The lessons you’ve learned.
Being able to forgive yourself.
The beauty you’ve created and shared with others.

I was looking around my home the other day and realised that there were seven pieces I’m so proud of: (see below for the video of these pieces)

My four Sumii ink paintings on Chinese handmade paper which were painted in Maui, Hawaii, during a retreat with Max Gimblett @maxgimblettstudio in 2008. I had won the Supreme prize of an art award and treated myself to an unforgettable trip

The Charles Rennie Mackintosh-inspired hall table I designed AND BUILT (💕👍) while studying furniture design as part of my Interior Architecture degree 20 + years ago.

And my sweet beeswax and gold leaf artwork created this year… (sister pieces of which have gone to new collectors and brought healing and happiness to their world.

And a huge accomplishment I’m proud of is the elegant renno we did to our mid-century-inspired 90s home.

All these achievements (and others) provide never-ending joy and remind me of the obstacles I’ve overcome, the successes courage, grit, and perseverance have enabled and the beauty in this world.
