Every Relationship Has a Flower and a Gardener

The Flower represents beauty, inspiration, and the joy of being nurtured. They may thrive on encouragement, affection, and care, blossoming under the warmth of the gardener’s efforts.

The Gardener, on the other hand, is the one who tends to the needs of the flower, cultivating growth with patience, love, and dedication.

But here’s the secret: both roles are equally important, and in healthy relationships, these roles are fluid. Sometimes, the flower needs to step up and become the gardener, offering support and care when the other is feeling wilted. Other times, the gardener needs to embrace their own need to rest and be nurtured.

How to Balance the Roles

Communication is Key

Share your needs and listen to your partner’s. Flowers and gardeners thrive when there’s clarity about how to support one another.

Switch Roles When Needed

If you’ve been giving too much as the gardener, allow yourself to step back and be cared for. If you’ve been basking as the flower, ask how you can support your partner.

Tend Your Own Garden

Remember, self-care is essential. A gardener can’t nurture without energy, and a flower can’t bloom without sunlight and water.

Celebrate Growth Together

During the Covid lockdowns, we purchased Frida The Freedom Fighter—a Ferrari! She also plays a staring role my sheikh-inspired romance, Bought by The Sheikh and stared in an article I wrote for Ferrari Magazine. I also took the photo. All were cool moments.
